SCHEDULED WORK TIMES/LOCATION: 

Weekly Hours: 40 hours
  • Weekday Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Every Other Weekend Hours: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Location: Noble Horizons, Salisbury, CT
POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
The Floor Care Technician/Maintenance for maintaining a safe and clean environment at Noble Horizons by adhering to established policies and procedures. This role involves cleaning and disinfecting areas to ensure the well-being of residents, visitors, and staff. The position requires technical skills to effectively use cleaning and maintenance chemicals, floor equipment, and necessary tools. Additionally, the role includes adjusting daily workflows and area assignments to meet the facility’s needs efficiently.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
 
  • Perform comprehensive floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, including hard surfaces and carpeting.
  • Operate all equipment with care, adhering to facility safety standards and procedures.
  • Execute project work and special tasks as needed, such as daily setups and breakdowns according to special function sheets and schedules, cleaning stairwells and elevators, and maintaining bathing suites.
  • Remove waste and soiled linens, transporting them to the appropriate disposal areas.
  • Follow all infection control policies and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
  • Recognize and uphold resident privacy requirements in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Keep the Disaster Recovery Book and Software Book for the computer system up to date.
  • Generate call accounting reports using Tapit as requested by the Administrator.
  • Handle invoices and vouchers, coordinate information for new vendors, and make weekly bank deposits.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
  • Understand the impact of communication with residents, visitors, and fellow staff members.
  • Assist with snow shoveling during the winter months to ensure safe and clear pathways.

REQUIRED REQUIREMENTS: 
        Education and Experience  
  • One year or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent expected
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Ability to operate power tools and other equipment needed to perform these tasks.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a vehicle in good working condition.
SUPERVISER RESPONSABILITES:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $16.50 to 18:50 per hour, based on experience.
